District II Meets NYS DEC

Thanks to the officers and members who attended AMA District II's meeting on December 16, 2017 with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), to discuss model aircraft and other unmanned aviation uses on DEC lands. Protecting model aviation on DEC property, as well as the rights of the general pubic to record beautiful aerial images of New York's treasured wilderness were discussed. DEC was very receptive to the ideas of AMA members and aerial photographers and videographers in attendance. Thanks also to Tony Stillman, AMA's Flying Site Assistance Coordinator who traveled from Muncie Indiana attend.
