District II Announces 2015 Fly In

The 2015 AMA District II Fly-In is coming to western New York on August 15 and 16, 2014. Hosted by the Canandaigua Sky Chiefs and the Radio Control Club of Rochester, the event will benefit America's wounded veterans through the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. As is customary with the District II Fly-In, Radio Control, Control Line, Free Flight and all AMA legal models are welcome.

Located on the Sky Chief’s field at the New York State Steam Engine Association’s grounds, the Fly-In welcomes campers and RV's with plenty of parking for pilots spectators and guests. Attractions include “Drone” demos, a food concession stand, all types of model aircraft flying and displays, and all at a wonderful event to support America's veterans.

The Chief's field is located at Gehan Road (off Rts. 5 and 20) in Canandaigua, NY. Overnight Camping is $10. Pilots Landing Fee is $10. Spectator Donation is $3. For more information contact event CD Paul Weigand at 585-721-5179.
