Is Your Radio "Tuned" for the Flying Season?
Now that Spring is here, at least the calendar says so, we are getting ready for the 2015 outdoor flying season. A lot of us have been flying our electric aircraft indoors during the winter months and have been using the transmitters we also use on our outdoor airplanes. Occasionally we run out of model memory on these transmitters and we need to reprogram them to our current airplanes. One item frequently overlooked in reprogramming or settng up any radio is the motor failsafe. Be certain you always use the failsafe function(s) where available, and make certian the aircraft is properly restrained while checking or resetting the failsafe. This, in addition to confirming the correct control throw direction, will help ensure a fun and safe flying season.
